In the Windows world copy and paste can be performed naturally, but in the Internet world there's no infrastructure for it yet. Live Clipboard is an attempt to build such an infrastructure.

Live Clipboard makes it possible to exchange data from one website to another. As an example, let's say you have two email accounts - one from your college and one from Windows Live Mail. Wouldn't it be convenient if you can copy a contact from your Windows Live Mail account and paste it to your college email account? With Live Clipboard, you can do just that.

Here's a simple Live Clipboard demo, as a proof of concept:

1. Go to Live Clipboard Example page, right click on an hCard icon and select Copy. Think of this as a contact from your college email account.
2. Right click on a blue line below and select Paste. Think of this as your Windows Live Mail account.

Live Clipboard を使えばウェブサービス間でデータのやり取りが可能になる。例えば大学時代のメールアカウントからコンタクトを Copy して、 Windows Live Mail へ Paste するという事ができるようになる。

それでは簡単な Demo を見てみよう。手順は以下の通り：

1. Live Clipboard Example から hCard のアイコン を右クリックしてをカット、またはコピーする。大学のメールのコンタクトを Copy していると考えてほしい。
2. 下のフォームを Windows Live Mail だと想像して、青の線を右クリックしてペーストする。
